Uma Thurman

Uma Karuna Thurman was an American actor who was famous for portraying 'Mia Wallace," in the dark comedy movie "Pulpfiction." In the role, Thurman became one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. She is a dedicated actor who does not mind shedding her glamorous appearance. The deglamorized part she played in The Kill Bill movie series earned her many awards. Her family was unconventional, giving her an Hindu surname and placed her in an Buddhist setting. Growing up, the lanky woman was frequently made fun of because of her angular frame and large feet. Although she has become famous because of her gorgeous looks, she was a bit shy and self-conscious about her appearance. In high school, she found comfort in drama and actively participated in it. She left school at aged 15 as she was convinced she was a talented actor. She had to start out by earning her living doing dishes, and then modeling until she landed small film roles.
