Alison Doody
Alison Doody, born in Dublin 1966, was the daughter of a wealthy family. She was the youngest of three. She was a student at a nunnery which sparked her interest for art. In the following years, she returned to the National College of Fine Arts of Dublin. Then, in the absence of enthusiasm, she decided to take an absence and planned to give it ten months. Meanwhile, while sitting in a restaurant with friends when she was approached by a photographer in a still mode who inquired if she'd consider modeling. She accepted, thinking that she would be able to use the money for pocket money. Modeling proved to be both fun and lucrative, and very soon she did it professionally. Modeling contracts led to commercials and she also traveled around the world. A casting director noticed her modeling work one day and encouraged her to attempt acting. After she turned 19 A casting director took her to London where she immediately won an audition to be a part of A View to a Kill which is the most recent James Bond film. Her love for acting was such that she considered pursuing a career this field. She was a part of TV dramas both in London and Dublin immediately following her debut film. The biggest moment for her came when she was cast as the lead in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in the role of Aryan seductress, The Dr. Elsa Schneider.
